500 Rai Floating Resort

They didn’t respond to my email about how to get to the hotel, had to figure it out on my own. Don’t respond to social media messages either which is a shame. The place is hard to get to. The food was alright. But the view makes up for all of the above.

Amazing place! Definitely worth to visit. Very special place and atmosphere. Nature around is magnificent. Take a chance to see wildlife P.S. if you want good massage to unwind after busy day - ask for P Jim. She is the bets! You would not regret

I've loved this place, it is one of the highlights of my trip. The views in the boat to arrive to the hotel are lovely, and the views from the room make you feel like you are in a dream. You have your own kayak that you can freely use during day time. The thai food here is amazing, and the waitress are super friendly and give you good advice to make the best choice, specially Sammy. Also i had a set dinner and breakfast, and they've encouraged me to have a bit more everytime to try more dishes on the card. Very good service in general and the bed was super comfortable. Additionally, i went into the wild safary with Nipha and I've really enjoyed the views, some animals we've seen and her explanations about the particularities of the nature on the area. We could see the sunset in the boat in our way back. Lastly, since I'm by my self, they took some nice pictures of me, which is appreciated hehe

If you're a frequent traveller to luxury resorts, you're likely to be a little disappointed by the infrastructure at 500 Rai. The resort is getting older and could do with a refresh. However, as your stay there unfolds, you realise that what you're paying for is the experience. Khao Sok is otherworldly and 500 Rai is located at the edge of an open section of the lake with stunning morning views (and sunrises if you're lucky) over the distant jungle peaks. It's one of the furthest resorts from the lake pier which means you get great sightseeing trips through the most dramatic parts of the lake on the way there and back. The welcome is warm and genuine, the service lovely and the atmosphere calm, unlike some other resorts we passed where guests were blaring out loud music from their rooms, drowning out the sounds of the gibbons calling, the water lapping and the birds calling. Why?! The morning lake trips and evening wildlife safaris at 500 Rai are wonderful and the day trip to Pakarang Cave simply unforgettable, helped by the most glorious weather that made all the colours sing. Thank you to Sunny for being such a fabulous guide! The food at the resort is good (but could be better) and the choice is generous, the beds are comfortable and the swimming pool a novelty (great for kids) although the lake swimming is just as much fun. Would we go again? Without the resort being updated, probably not but we had a wonderful time in the park and are very glad we went. We also want to thank the team at 500 Rai for their flexibility when our friends had to cancel their trip to Thailand - it was much appreciated.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at 500 Rai Floating Resort during our trip through Thailand. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking scenery of Cheow Lan Lake, with its emerald-green waters and towering limestone cliffs. The location alone makes this a once-in-a-lifetime destination! The floating bungalows were comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, offering a perfect blend of nature and luxury. Waking up to the serene beauty of the lake and enjoying a peaceful kayak ride at sunrise was simply magical. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every part of our stay was smooth and enjoyable. The resort also offers fantastic activities like boat tours, hiking, and wildlife spotting, which made our stay even more memorable. The food was delicious, with a great selection of Thai dishes that perfectly complemented the experience. If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway in Thailand, 500 Rai Floating Resort is a must-visit. We highly recommend it and would love to return in the future!
